Why the Colon Comes First (Colon Cleanse and Colon Health)

The intestines have a profound relationship to the skin, skin tone, and weight control. When the colon is not working 2 to 3 times per day, evacuations are held up and feces begin to putrefy and ferment, releasing toxins throughout the entire body–principally the liver, kidneys, lungs and skin. It causes acne, cellulite and stretch marks. Sounds horrible, doesn’t it?

Colon Therapy is a process of detoxification through diet, physical therapy and replenishing of intestinatl flora. Generally one abstains from solid foods and fats in favor of fruit juices, greens and raw foods. Plums, carrots, and beets are especially useful for their help in detoxification and their alkalizing effects on blood pH.

Herbs and coffee are also useful in colonic cleansing to help clean out the liver, gall bladder and the intestines. The coffee enema helps to evacuate the intestines and induce bile from the gall bladder, which helps stimulate and cleanse the liver. Other methods of cleansing include taking certain herbs orally.
