Vitamins C, E, and A are the Foundation
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant. It helps the body absorb iron from our food, maintains healthy collagen levels, helps us resist infection, helps control cholesterol levels in the blood, produces anti-stress hormones, helps keep teeth strong and our nerves calm.
Vitamin E is equally amazing. It helps protect the cells against heavy metals, such as mercury and lead. When taken in conjunction with vitamin C, it acts as a powerful antioxidant to protect the cells and combat free radicals.
Vitamins A, B, C, and E are considered the “beauty vitamins” as they regulate the production of hormones that interfere with the production and growth of hair and nails. In other words, they keep the aging hormones in check. Vitamin A can help to change the texture of skin, strengthening collagen and delaying wrinkles.
Remember to always purchase quality vitamins from reputable sources. They must be fresh and stored properly. Note that vitamin A should not be used in excess, as it accumulates in the body, whereas excess vitamins B, C, and E will be discarded by the body.
