The Magic of Coconut Water

29 November 2008 One Comment

Coconut water is a natural isotonic that hydrates and enhances energy. It’s rich in magnesium; fosfor; potassium; iron; fiber; trace minerals; and vitamins A, B1, B2, B5, and C. One cup of coconut water has only 60 calories from its natural sugars. It’s naturally alkalizing and tastes great.

Coconut water is recommended for cases of dehydration, as it’s an excellent natural saline solution (with the same proportion of salts to sugars as saline)…and it can be used temporarily to substitute blood plasma.

It also hydrates and softens skin, fights off parasites, controls blood pressure and cholesterol, soothes sunburn, and helps with arthritis. There’s more…it also helps provide the body with long-lasting energy, mineral rejuvenation, and helps with nausea during pregnancy. It has been used as a blood purifier and mild laxative and is naturally calming on the nerves.

Doctors in Brazil often recommend drinking coconut water for patients who have undergone surgery in the digestive system and it’s used in chemotherapy to help strengthen the body and immune system.

To prevent dental decay, slowly chew coconut meat on a regular basis–but make sure it’s sugar free!
